Mark Versluis

Mark Versluis is no stranger anymore in the magical world of trance music,

in fact he is producing his typical banging uplifting trance allready since 1996!

However, after releasing much of his work on various music websites on the net,

it wasn't until the year 2000 that he finally started to officially releasing his tracks on various labels on cd and vinyl.

The first succes came when he started to work together with Slovakia's finest producer Jan Kalafut under their "Szartd & TranceJax" guise,

after some tracks released on the internet and being used on various compilations it was in 2003 when UK's dj Lange signed their track "Tenso" for his Lange Recordings,

and used this real classic trance bomb on his compilation "Global Phases vol. 1"  when it was released in 2004.....

other tracks such as "Aurora" and "Panema" were released on other labels with under other various project names, but were originally all "Szartd&TranceJax" tracks.

2004 and 2005 brought Mark even more succes when he started to produce together with Jan-Erik Mai from Germany better known as "Moonforce",

their project "Foreign Force" brought them a great release (Emotional Breeze/Ozone) on Armada's A State of Trance Label.

As the cd-r was picked up by Armin van Buuren himself, he spinned the tracks in almost all his sets all  over the world,

this was resulting in being future favorite 3 weeks in a row on Armin van Buuren's A state of trance radio show.

In this period Mark also teamed up with one of Denmark's best talents: Henrik Christensen,

their project "Kyamoto" caused a real buzz in tranceland with releases on the UK labels Trance Revolution Recordings and the all mighty ATCR.

"Frosted" and "Stealth" got support from all the big DJ's and still are very populair tracks to date because of that endless uplifting feel you get from it!

More highlights worth to mention came in 2006 and 2007 when Mark and Jan-Erik Mai again produced 2 great trance tracks under their "Moonforce & Mark Versluis" guise,

this was the first time Mark actually used his own name in a project name, their tracks "Forgotten Freedom" (feat. Sunstate aka Jonas Stenberg) and "Indigo" were picked up by Alter Ego Records.

These tracks brought them instant succes with plays from all the big dj's including Paul van Dyk , Ferry Corsten and even Tiesto.

Basicly every uplifiting trance loving dj played the Sequentia remix of "Forgotten Freedom".

Around this time Mark also started to produce more and more under his own name resulting in some solo tracks,

an unstoppable wave of remix requests has been setting Mark on fire,

Mark so far remixed for Matt Abbott, Airbase, Steve Birch, Amex, Kamil Polner, Suncatcher and Terk Dawn just to name a few and they were just the beginning of much more that is still to come.

2008 and 2009 so far brought Mark's first original solo track on Kyr Records, another Kyamoto track being signed with Ask4 records (allready used on Leon Boliers "Streamlined" compilation),

a banging new release on Neuroscience Recordings .... ("Becherovka" with BBC radio 1 support from Judge Jules) and much more in the pipeline to come asap.

Finally (because Kyr Records was discontinued), he found a new home to continue to release his work in the near future: Fektive Records.

Continue to expect your uplifting trance being served on a regular basis, because, yes, another dutch guy is here to stay, and his journey continues with lots of tasty uplifting trance to come.
